Club Cleaning and Club Check Available and Putting Contest

The Tot Lot Childcare Center will be with us once again for the 2013 tournament.

In an effort to continue to raise money to support the amazing childcare center, parents, volunteers, and staff will be available Friday evening to clean your clubs in preparation of the big tee off the following day.

New this year!!!  Club Check will be available for a donation as well.  The Tot Lot crew will take your clubs and keep them in a safe place until the tournament begins on Saturday.  No more lugging your clubs back to the motel or worrying about them in your vehicle.  Thanks Tot Lot for adding this great service.

Putting Contest – Last year’s putting contest was a success and the Tot Lot Crew will be back again to give you a chance to Sink That Put!  Putting contest will be held during the tournament near Hole 1 on the practice green.

11th Annual Tournament… A Success!!!

Just a quick note to say thank you to all our sponsors, players, volunteers, workers and anyone I may be forgetting.  The tournament went quite well.  Only a few glitches here and there, but we can easily work those out for next year.

I will be posting again today with some lists of winners and as the summer continues I will post photos of the tournament as well.  Thanks to Russ and Betty Werth and their special little helper for all you do to get our photos out and ready for each player.

Chipping Contest Added – Win Cash on Friday!!!

We are excited to have the Northern Ambassadors of Music from Bowman offering a chipping contest on Friday afternoon.  These students are raising money to attend a music tour in Europe next summer.  The chipping contest will be taking place near the driving range (sponsored again this year by NALCO).

Stop out on Friday, July 20th after your practice round and chip in a few shots to win some cold hard cash!  And if you don’t win, you are supporting a great group of students working hard to earn some travel funds.

Tournament Rules

I have been asked to post the tournament rules on the website.  All players will receive a copy of the rules at the registration desk upon checking in.

2012 BOWMAN OILFIELD/ENERGY GOLF TOURNAMENT RULES

1) TWO drives from A, B, & C golfers and ONE drive from D, E, and F golfers must be used in 18 holes of play.

2) You are not allowed to follow your own shot, but every team member putts.

3) You are not allowed to move a ball from the rough to the fairway.

4) It is a free drop out of the plowed areas – but ONLY one club length.

5) There is only one mulligan allowed per team.  They can be purchased by the team captain BEFORE play starts for $30 at the registration table.

6) For all other rules, please refer to the regular course rules printed on your scorecard.

7) Participants must be present and in close proximity to the clubhouse in order to win the grand prize drawings.  Wives, kids, and dogs do not count.

8) Ties will be determined by the best score from the highest handicap hole.

9) Any drive over the creek on #7 and #16 will be counted as out of bounds.

10) PLAY READY GOLF

11) Don’t spend a great deal of time looking for your golf ball – it’s usually quite hot out and it slows play of the tournament.

TEAM PRIZES
1st Place – $600 cash
2nd Place – $500 cash
3rd Place – $400 cash
4th Place – $300 cash

CLUB CLEANING!!!

We are excited to have the crew from Tot Lot Daycare back again this year for club cleaning.  They will be available to scrub your clubs (and for the right price a pair of shoes) on Friday afternoon and evening.

This organization and the parents are volunteering their time to raise money to equip the Tot Lot Daycare center (being built in large part to Luff Exploration).  The new daycare center will be an awesome structure but we as a community still need to fill the inside and provide play equipment for the outside.

Come out Friday for your practice round and get your clubs all shined up for the big tournament on Saturday.

Thank You Sponsors

The tournament is fast approaching and sponsorships continue to come in.  A quick thank you to the following businesses for your support of our tournament.

If you have not registered, please click the Registration Forms tab above (top of this webpage) and you can print and mail your forms.

If you are interested in sponsorship for our tournament and have not received a request please click the Sponsors link above.  You can find a sponsorship form there.  If you would prefer a copy in the mail, contact golfbowmanoilfield@midco.net or 701-523-3184 and ask for Robin.
